About this service

How it works

  1. Upload the affidavit or declaration you need sworn directly from your case file.
  2. Book an online (video) or in-person appointment with a commissioner for oaths.
  3. Confirm your identity and swear or affirm the document with the commissioner.
  4. Receive the certified, e-signed PDF back in your case file, ready to file.

Turnaround

Standard appointments are usually available within 1–2 business days; same-day and urgent (2-hour) options are offered at a higher rate.

Frequently asked questions

Is an online commissioning valid for filing in Québec?
Yes. A commissioner for oaths may administer the oath by videoconference, and the resulting affidavit is admissible. The certified PDF records the date, place and manner of swearing.
What do I need to have ready?
The final version of your document (no further edits after swearing) and a valid piece of government-issued photo identification.
Can the commissioner change my document?
No. A commissioner verifies your identity and administers the oath; they do not draft, correct or give advice on the content. Make sure the wording is final before your appointment.

Good to know

A commissioner for oaths administers the oath or solemn affirmation only. This is an attestation service, not legal advice, and Juge.ca is not a law firm.
